CB Hume is a native of Louisiana, born in Washington Parish and now
a resident of Tangipahoa Parish. He and his family  reside in Hammond,
Louisiana. Bruce as he is known to family and friends is a primarily
self-educated artist with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a willingness
to share what he has learned with others.

What was once a hobby has become a full blown passion,  since pursuing art everything seemed to change and his world was filled with  exciting shapes, shadows and light as well as new found peace and purpose in his life.

He can be seen quite often standing on a street corner painting " En Pleine
Aire" (Outdoors) with his French Easel, capturing  the local landscapes and
architecture in The Historic Districts of Hammond, Ponchatoula and  Amite.

Oil painting is his greatest passion but he is fluent in watercolor,  acrylics, and charcoal, and his newest medium Louisiana Coffees.  Bruce loves to  share his passion for art with others through workshops and private lessons.

Bruce has presented workshops covering  Oil Painting ,Acrylic and Pleine Aire
Painting.

Bruce is currently an active member and board member of numerous  Art
Associations in Southeast Louisiana.
